Unsure about the best electric vehicle charging point system for your car? As approved installers for Hypervolt, MyEnergi and Rolec, we’re able to offer a fully comprehensive charging point installation for all your electric vehicle needs.

The OLEV grant named the ‘Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme’ could provide you with a grant fund of up to 75% towards the cost of your charge point installation, a discount of up to £350.

Also available is the Workplace Charging Scheme. The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a voucher-based scheme that provides support towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charge-points, for eligible businesses, charities and public sector organisations.

A full site survey will be required for an estimate . We’ll check that the charging point can be safely installed and that your local supply is suitable. Once you’ve chosen your mode 3 compatible charging point our City and Guilds qualified electricians will install and fully test the equipment to make sure it’s fit for purpose. We’re able to supply both tethered and un-tethered charging units which are compatible with Type 1, 2 and 3 electric cars and vans.

We also offer 1 year warranty on the installation and 3 years warranty on the charging point unit.

    What if I don’t own my home?
    AYou need to seek permission from your local authority, landlord or relevant organisation to install a charge point unit if you don’t own the property.

    Do I have to use an electrician to install my charge point unit?
    AElectrical installations must only be performed by qualified tradesmen with the relevant qualifications. This applies to all electrical installations and this is no different for an EV charge point unit.

    How much will a typical charge point cost me?
    AThe cost of the EV charge point is dependent on your car, charger installed and your power supply (single phase used in most domestic premises or three phase used in most business premises.

    AGrant funding to install chargers are available for both Home installations and Workplace installations. We are both OLEV approved Installers for Home and Workplace Charger installations

    Do you need to contact the DNO prior to any works being installed?
    AYes, EV installations totalling over 60amp including the EV unit being installed must be authorised by the DNO (your supply network) to determine if the existing system will be sufficient to allow this extra capacity onto the distribution Grid

    A This really is dependent on what system you have & we would advise a survey to be carried from one of our contractors prior to you purchasing any EV items or Vehicles.
