    What is the best way to rewire an old house?

    A The best way would be to carry out an electrical safety conditions report on the property in question to determine the continued safety of the electrical system.
    There can be a few different ways to rewire a property. You can first carry out a partial rewire on areas to suit the customers’ needs or a full rewire of all electrical circuits including the likelihood of having additional sockets points / energy efficient lighting / BT points / satellite & tv points / security / CCTV.

    Can I rewire my own house?

    A You may want to take on carrying out a rewire of your own, but this isn’t a safe option and most importantly not to British Standards. All electrical works are certificated and depending on the works carried out what’s known as a Part P comes into question for building regulations which is covered by an accredited body.

    Can I rewire one room at a time?

    A Indeed, you can just as long as there are access routes. This is commonly known as a partial rewire. Any new circuit installed will be covered by a Part P and certain areas will need to be also looked at upon taking on any project.
